Messrs. Antoine's Hairdressers

In the novel Death in the Clouds, Messrs. Antoine's Hairdressers is a hairdressing establishment in Bruton Street in London. Jane Grey works there with her colleague Gladys. Their employer calls himself Monsieur Antoine. Despite Monsieur Antoine's anxieties, Jane's involvement in the incident on the Prometheus proves ultimately very good for business as customers flock to be "done by the girl who was on the place" and to hear a first-hand account, so much so that Jane is able to demand a raise and get it.
