Maxine Cardiff is a non-canonical character created for the 2022 Kenneth Branagh adaptation of Death on the Nile. She is one of the crew members of the Karnak.
Maxine appears in many scenes throughout the show. She is seen, for example, dancing with the others during the dancing scene. Later she is also shown with other crew members carrying the body of Linnet on a stretcher. She joins the other crew members in searching the berths of the passengers for Linnet's missing necklace. She also has a speaking part when she tells Poirot that they had managed to recover a bundle comrising a scarf, a handkerchief and a pistol from the bottom of the river. At the end of the film Maxine is among the boat crew (all those who are credited) who fall in on deck to farewell to the guests as they disembark.
