In the novel The Secret of Chimneys, Miss Mary Revel lives in Ealing. Anthony Cade wanted to search for the whereabouts of Virginia Revel, he looked up the telephone directory and found six people by the name of Revel. Of these, he eliminated as possibilities a company of saddlers and also Mary Revel, although the text does not explain why he did so.
