In Cartes sur table, the French Télévisions film adaptation of Agatha Christie's Cards on the Table, for the Les Petits Meurtres d'Agatha Christie TV series, Marcel Nevers is the parallel of Mr Lorrimer in the original story. He was the husband of Hélène Nevers who was one of the four people whom Massud Shaitana suspected of having killed someone.
There is considerably more background to Marcel than his parallel in the original story. Some time before the events in the episode, Marcel had been found dead with a bullet in the head. At that time it was thought to be suicide. However commissaire Laurence discovered that Marcel was a terribly bad person. He had grown rich during the war by denouncing people and scheming. He was known to beat his workers and Laurence suspected that he beat his wife as well. To commit suicide was just not consistent with his psychology. Moreover there was no suicide note.
Hélène Nevers later made a confession to Laurence, admitting to killing Marcel. He had, as Laurence thought, been beating his wife. She waited for some time to commit the perfect crime and for a while seemed to have gotten away with it, until Shaitana somehow found out.
Marcel Nevers does not appear on screen since he was long dead by the time of the events in the episode. His first name is not used in the dialogue but his full name can be seen on the dossier on him which Laurence was reading in his office.
