In Murder Party, the French Télévisions film adaptation of Agatha Christie's A Murder is Announced, for the Les Petits Meurtres d'Agatha Christie TV series, Marcel Combet is the parallel of Patrick Simmons in the original novel. He lived with his mother Nadine Combet in Argentina with his sister Antoinette but later came to stay at the ranch of Leticia Salvan. A letter from Nadine later proved that her children were still in Argentina and that the brother and sister pair at the ranch were imposters. Faced with this, "Marcel" confessed and admitted that he was in reality "Eugène Perrier", a penniless and unsuccessful writer. He was a friend of "Emma", the daughter of Sonia, the former lover of millionaire Denis Sontag. Emma wanted pose as Antoinette Combet in order to meet Leticia and live at the ranch and asked Eugène to come along and pose as Marcel. Like in the original novel, Eugène is the boyfriend of Emma but here he is not entirely faithful. At one point, he attempted to romance Philippine Leroy (the Phillipa Haymes parallel) when he found out that Leticia Salvan had willed her fortune to Philippine.
The character of Marcel Comet is played by Clovis Fouin.
