Mama Zogbe is a non-canonical character created for the 2013 ITV adaptation of A Caribbean Mystery. She is a St Honore islander and a practitioner of the voodoo arts. The theme of voodoo is a recurrent theme in this adaptation. A voodoo doll had been found near the body of Major Palgrave. Miss Marple sought out Mama Zogbe to find out more about it.
Mama Zogbe said that she makes and sells these dolls for the tourists but she declined to confirm or deny if any of the hotel guests had come to see her. It is between them and her she tells her. However Zogbe tells Miss Marple about a former client of hers, Parker De Witt III. He was married to Lucky Dyson and came to Zogbe for potions to enable him to keep up with his young wife but then he stopped coming because he died. Subsequently Lucky married Greg Dyson.
Towards the end of the show however, Errol, the husband of Victoria Johnson brings Zogbe to see Miss Marple again. Zogbe told her she should have revealed this earlier. At least one other hotel guest had come to buy a voodoo doll from her: Canon Prescott. Apparently Canon Prescott had fallen in love with Molly Kendal and wanted a potion to fall out of love with her since she was already married.
Mama Zogbe is portrayed by Andrea Dondolo.
