Josiane Léveque as Madeleine
In La Maison du péril, the French adaptation of Peril at End House, Madeleine is Joséphine's housekeeper, and the loose parallel of Ellen Wilson. An efficient and no-nonsense housekeeper and cook, Madeleine's chocolate cakes are a big hit with the residents of Joséphine's house. An ongoing gag in the episode is Madeleine's continual harassment of the hapless Émile Lampion who is inserted undercover into the household as a less-than-capable handyman.
Madeleine has a twenty year old son Maurice, a non-canonical character who is plays a significant role in the main plot and also involves his mother in a side plot.
