Mabel Denman is a niece of Jane Marple. At twenty-two, she married Geoffrey Denman and lived with her husband at a large house called Myrtle Dene. She did not keep in touch with Miss Marple for a while but then contacted her when she is accused of murdering her husband. Her story is told in The Thumb Mark of St. Peter.
