Agatha Christie Wiki

Love from a Stranger is a stage play adapted from the short story Philomel Cottage by Louise Page. Although the play shares the name with the adaptation by Frank Vosper, it is based on the original source material and departs from Christie's original short story much less than does Frank Vosper's version.[1][2]

Unlike Vosper, Page used the original character names from Christie's short story but she added a new character, Fran, who is Alix's colleague in a shipping firm. It is there where Alix meets Gerald Martin.[3]

The play ran from 14 April 2010 to 22 May 2010 at The Mill at Sonning, in Berkshire, England. It was directed by Andy de la Tour.
