In Je ne suis pas coupable, the France Télévisions adaptation of Sad Cypress for the TV series Les Petits Meurtres d'Agatha Christie, Louis Servais is the parallel of Peter Lord in the original novel.
Unlike Peter Lord, Louis is not a doctor but the secretary of wealthy old lady Élisabeth Laroche-Viseul, the Laura Welman parallel. Like Peter Lord, he is attracted to the Elinor Carlisle parallel, in this case Élisabeth's daughter Claire Laroche-Viseul. Louis himself receives a poison pen letter warning that Élisabeth could be killed and he brings in his friend Émile Lampion as well as commissaire Larosière. The policemen need a cover to legitimise their presence at Élisabeth's house and Louis provides it. Élisabeth had organised a gathering of feminists and suffragettes at her house. He controls Élisabeth's correspondence and only he knew that one of her guests, an author and feminist Justine Méricourt was unable to attend. So he suggests that Lampion disguise himself as Justine while Larosière plays the role of her husband.
Like Peter Lord, Louis is secretly in love with Claire. After Claire is arrested for the murder of Élisabeth, Louis continues to maintain that she is innocent and presses Lampion and Larosière to investigate further however there is no element of him faking an account of seeing some stranger or so on in order to clear her.
When Claire is finally exonerated, Louis declares his feelings, but unlike Peter Lord, Claire does not reciprocate.
Louis Servais is portrayed by Yannick Choirat.
