Agatha Christie Wiki

In the novel The Man in the Brown Suit, Lord Nasby is a millionaire press baron who owned several newspapers including the Daily Budget. He was impressed by the way in which Anne Beddingfeld managed to trick her way in to see him and by her obvious intelligence. When Anne told him that she thought she could solve the "mystery of the man in the brown suit" and wanted a job in his newspaper to further her investigations, he said that he could not offer her a position right away because they had already assigned another person to the task. However he encouraged her to pursue her line of inquiry and promised her that if she managed to turn up anything publishable, she would get her chance because there was always room for real talent in the Daily Budget.

Anne Beddingfeld observed that Lord Nasby was a big man. "Big head. Big face. Big moustache. Big stomach."
