Lionel Luft is a non-canonical character created for the ITV 2006 adaptation of the novel Sleeping Murder. In the 1930s, during the time of Kelvin Halliday, Luft was an entertainer who was a member of the "Funnybones" troupe. He had an act performing magic acts. After the troupe folded up, Luft continued performing but died some time before the 1950s. He had apparently being in a pantomine in the role of a "demon king" but the trap door opened too soon and he fell to his death and broke his neck. Lionel Luft is portrayed by Nickolas Grace.
