Valeria Cavalli as Leticia Salvan (actually Charlotte)
In Murder Party, the French Télévisions film adaptation of Agatha Christie's A Murder is Announced, for the Les Petits Meurtres d'Agatha Christie TV series, Leticia Salvan is the parallel of Letitia Blacklock in the original novel. As in the original novel, she was the assistant of a millionaire, in this case Denis Sontag. Unique to this adaptation, the millionaire was not married and Leticia became his lover. When he died, he left his fortune to Leticia. The main plot of the show involved a series of murders in her ranch near Lille, beginning with a "murder party" which had been advertised in the newspapers.
Investigations revealed that the woman claiming to be "Leticia" and the owner of the ranch was actually her sister Charlotte Salvan. She had killed Leticia and had posed as her and had orchestrated the series of murders in order to protect her secret.
In this adaptation, the way in which Leticia is exposed as Charlotte is much simpler; Leticia's childhood friend Odette had a painting of her behind which was written the name "Lottie". Alice Avril also unconciously remarked that Odette used to call Leticia "Lotty" or "Lottie" instead of "Leticia" or "Letty".
