In the novel 4.50 from Paddington, Leonard Clement is the son of Griselda and Leonard. He knows a lot about maps, as maps of all kinds are his passion.

At the beginning of the novel, Leonard is home for the Christmas season, and Miss Marple asks him about a large-scale map of the area around Brackhampton. He is not curious about why she wants this information. He writes down for Miss Marple exactly what kind of map would suit her purpose best, and then finds that he has such a map in his collection, which he lends to her.
