- Mr Satterthwaite usually spends the summer months in Deauville, Le Touquet or on the Riviera. (At the 'Bells and Motley')
- Daphne St John told Parker Pyne that she had lost money at the casino in Le Touquet. To hide the debts from her husband she “borrowed” a ring from Lady Naomi Dortheimer, and pawned it. (The Case of the Distressed Lady)
