In the short story Greenshaw's Folly, Laura Greenshaw was the sister of Katherine Greenshaw. She married a curate. Nathaniel Greenshaw, Laura's father, wouldn't give her or her husband any money, asserting that clergymen ought to be unworldly. Laura died in childbirth and her baby died as well.
