In the 1983 Warner Bros adaptation, this character is named Viola Kidderminster and is portrayed by Anne Rogers. She has roughly the same plot role as in the original. She tells her husband that she is worried that Sandra might have been the killer. She knows Sandra and feels that she is like her father. There are times when Sandra can be absolutely ruthless. Viola tells her husband that they must investigate and if it turns out that Sandra is the killer, they must find a way to keep her from getting caught.
