In the novel Evil Under the Sun, Lady Codrington was the former wife of Lord Codrington. Some years before the events in the book, Lord Codrington had become infatuated with Arlena Stuart who was at the time an actress at the Revue. Lady Codrington used this affair as grounds for a divorce.
