Portrayals[]
In BBC's 1992 adaptation of the novel, Joshua Grice and his wife are mentioned by Dolly Bantry in the list of people she saw coming up the stairs just when Marina Gregg had her “Lady of Shalott” look--as though she has had a shock, suggesting that she might have seen someone or something in the direction of the stairs. The characters are not credited but may be seen in one scene where they are climbing the stairs behind the mayor. Dolly Bantry tells Miss Marple that the Grices "have been having trouble" but does not elaborate.
