In the novel Sleeping Murder, Jim Kimble is the husband of Lily Kimble. He was not at all keen about the idea of his wife responding to the newspaper advertisement asking anyone who knew Helen Halliday to contact some lawyers in London. Lily thought it might be the police (she always speculated there was a murder), or there might be money in it. But Jim told her to leave it alone. In his opinion she had nothing to go on. It was all "woman's chatter".

ITV's Agatha Christie's Marple[]
In the ITV 2006 adaptation of the novel, the character's name is changed to Jim Tutt and is portrayed by Vince Leigh.
NHK's Anime adaptation[]
Jim Kimble also appears in NHK's anime adaptation of Sleeping Murder where he plays the same role as in the original novel. Despite the relatively large speaking part, the voice actor behind the character is not credited.
Les Petits Meurtres d'Agatha Christie[]
In Un meurtre en sommeil, the French Télévisions film adaptation of Agatha Christie's Sleeping Murder, the parallel character of Lily Kimble, Séverina Patrominio is not married so there is no parallel of Jim Kimble.
