In the short story The Case of the Missing Will, Jessie Pike is the wife of Albert Pike, confectioner who has a shop in the same Devonshire village in which Crabtree Manor, the house of Andrew Marsh, is located. Together with her husband, she signed as witness to Andrew's last will and testament which he had written out with invisible ink.
