Jamie Blackwell is a character created for the ITV 2006 adaptation of the The Moving Finger. Blackwell is a farm labourer. He does not appear in person. He is mentioned by Mona Symmington during a dinner party. While exchanging village gossip, Mrs Symmington told her guests that she had it on good authority that Jamie was planning to leave his pregnant wife Mary as he had received an anonymous letter alleging that the child she was expecting was not fathered by him but by Colonel Appleton.
