Agatha Christie Wiki

In the short story The Mystery of the Blue Jar, Jack Hartington is keen golfer who has taken rooms at a hotel near the golf course at Stourton Heath so that he can play some golf every morning before going to his dull job in the City. One morning, while on the links, he hears a woman's voice calling "Murder--Help! Murder!" coming from the direction of Heather Cottage near the seventh tee. This happens again and again over several days and always at the same time. Yet the woman who lives at the cottage, Felise Marchaud claims that she never heard anything.

Resolving this mystery would form the main plot of the story.
