Dr J.C. (James Carl) Bernthal-Hooker is a private researcher for a major crime writer. He holds a PhD from the University of Exeter, UK, where he taught English Literature. Bernthal's 2015 PhD thesis is named A Queer Approach to Agatha Christie, 1920-1952.
He has been the editor of several books about Christie, among them are: The Ageless Agatha Christie (2016) and Agatha Christie Goes to War (2019).
