Ipy

In the novel Death Comes as the End, Ipy was the son of Ankh. Although Imhotep calls Ankh "sister", the textual evidence suggests that Ankh is a second wife or concubine (see article on Ankh for details). This suggests that Ipy is Imhotep's son. At one point Imhotep refers to Ipy as "son of my flesh". During the time of events in the plot, Ipy is sixteen years of age. His mother Ankh had died some years earlier.
