Portrayals[]

Inspector Morton is played by Kevin Doyle in the film adaptation of the book in Season 10 of ITV's Agatha Christie's Poirot series. His role here matches the original novel fairly closely, except that he is the only policeman in the show--Superintendent Parwell is not featured. In this adaptation, Morton also exchanges the same banter with Poirot as found in the novel. When Poirot says he could be wrong, Morton says that doesn't happen to him. Poirot then now gives a reply not found in the original: he has been wrong twice in his career.
