Agatha Christie Wiki

In the novel The Man in the Brown Suit, Inspector Meadows is the Scotland Yard detective responsible for investigating the death of the unknown woman found at the Mill House, belonging to Sir Eustace Pedler M.P. He was dismissive of Anne Beddingfeld and her idea that her death could be linked to the supposed accidental death of another man at Hyde Park Corner underground station.

As Meadows was based in London, he is almost certainly not the same man as the Inspector Meadows from The Adventure of the Dartmoor Bungalow who was based in Moretonhampstead.
