Ils étaient dix (English title: They were ten) is a 2021 French adaptation of the Agatha Christie novel And Then There Were None. The series is produced by Escazal Films, the company behind Les Petits Meurtres d'Agatha Christie. The series was first broadcast by the French broadcaster M6, on 17th August 2021.
The series is directed by Pascal Laugier, and is adapted by Jeanne Le Guillou and Bruno Dega. It stars Guillaume de Tonquedec, Samuel Le Bihan, Romane Bohringer, Mathilda Lutz, Sami Seghir, Manon Azem and Mariane Denicourt.
Plot[]
Ten people, five women, five men, are invited to a luxury hotel on a deserted tropical island. They soon realise they are completely isolated, cut off from the rest of the world and all means of communication, and rapidly entering their worst nightmare.
Why were they lured into this morbid trap? The answer lies hidden in their past, shameful events that they each tried carefully to bury. Today, under the hot island sun, they have begun to pay. In the end, there will be none left.
One by one, they will be killed off… posing the ultimate question: who is the murderer?
