In Mademoiselle Mac Ginty est morte, the France Televisions adaptation of Mrs McGinty's Dead, Huguette Mac Ginty is a resident of a ground floor unit at 27 Victor Hugo Boulevard, a block of apartments in Lille. She is the parallel of Abigail McGinty from the original novel. The actress who portrayed her is not credited.

In this adaptation, all the killings took place within a single block of apartments rather than in a village. Like Abigail McGinty, Huguette Mac Ginty was an elderly lady who did cleaning jobs, in this case for three other units, the Doutremonts, the Santinis and Hélène Schmit. Like Abigail also, Huguette had rented out a room to a young man, Robert Vasseur, the James Bentley parallel. Huguette had the reputation of being noisy and prying into the affairs of others, and also keeping money beneath her floorboards. The motive for killing her is the same as in the original novel.
