In the novel Why Didn't They Ask Evans?, Colonel Hubert Rivington, D.S.O. is the husband of Edith Rivington. His house is located at Tite Street, Chelsea. He and his wife were friends of Alan Carstairs, and took him with them on a visit to Merroway Court.
He was not present in the novel.
