In the novel Death in the Clouds, Horbury Chase is the ancestral home of Lord Horbury. It is located in Horbury, Sussex. Although Lord Horbury himself lives there, by mutual agreement, Lady Horbury who hates the countryside, lives at their townhouse at 315 Grosvenor Square in London. When Cecily comes down to Horbury Chase, Lord Horbury would typically suspect she had some special reason, such as wanting more money.
Part of the Horbury Chase estate included a place called "Home Farm". A neighbouring property is Little Paddocks, the residence of Venetia Kerr.
