In Shi to no Yakusoku, the 2021 Fuji TV Japanese adaptation of Appointment with Death, Hondo Junna (本堂絢奈) is the parallel character of Ginevra Boynton. She is the youngest of the Boynton children and the only biological child of Mrs Hondo, the parallel of Mrs Boynton.

Her role in the adaptation matches that of Ginevra fairly closely. Like Ginevra, she is made to stay behind at the various family outings. At the first outing, Mrs Hondo makes her remain at the hotel. At the second outing Junna is made to go back to the bus to wait while the rest of the family make the hike along the Kumano Kodo. Like Ginevra, Junna becomes a material witness to murder without realising it. While waiting in the bus, she claimed to have been a tengu (a mythical creature dressed in white) running. She was convinced this was a tengu and not a yamabushi (a mountain hermit) because a hermit would not run so fast. Like Ginvevra, Junna also asks Suguro to protect her--she thinks the tengu are coming to get her because she imagines that she is a reincarnation of Izanami-no-Mikoto, a Shinto deity. In the original, Ginevra imagines she is a descendent of royalty.

Like Ginevra, the other Boynton siblings are concerned about Junna's mental state because she always appears dreamy and does not show any emotion. The adaptation does not reveal what happens to Junna at the end, but Suguro tells the family that he thinks she will be all right. She broke down and cried after the denouement, grieving for her dead mother. Suguro says this is the first time he has seen her show emotion.

The part of Hondo Junna is portrayed by Hara Nanoka (原菜乃華).
