In the short story Magnolia Blossom, Hobson, Jekyll & Lucas is the City of London firm which Richard Darrell heads up. During the events in the story, the firm is on the verge of collapse due to troubles linked to some financial fraud on the part of Richard. Richard decides to take extra-ordinary steps involving his wife to save himself and his firm.
