Hercule Poirot is a radio drama series broadcast on BBC Radio 4 between 1985 and 2007.
Production[]
The stories were adapted by Michael Bakewell, and starred John Moffatt as Hercule Poirot for the majority of the 27 adaptations. Maurice Denham portrayed Poirot in 1985 and Peter Sallis in 1986. Each adaptation consisted of one or several episodes, most commonly five episodes.
The 1985 adaptation The Mystery of the Blue Train was directed by David Johnston, and the remaining adaptations were directed by Enyd Williams.

Hercule Poirot was portrayed in 1985 by Maurice Denham, in 1986 by Peter Sallis and from 1987 by John Moffatt.
Poirot's companion Captain Hastings was portrayed by Jeremy Clyde in 1990 and thereafter by Simon Williams.
Inspector Japp was portrayed by Philip Jackson (who also portrayed Japp in Agatha Christie's Poirot on ITV) in four adaptations, and by Norman Jones and by Bryan Pringle in one adaptation each.
Novelist Ariadne Oliver was portrayed by Stephanie Cole in two adaptations, and by Julia McKenzie (who portrayed Miss Marple in Agatha Christie's Marple on ITV) in three adaptations.
Actor Donald Sinden portrayed Colonel Race in two adaptations. He also portrayed Colonel Lacey in one adaptation.
