Henri is a non-canonical character who was created for the TV adaptation of The Unbreakable Alibi in LWT's Agatha Christie's Partners in Crime. He is head waiter at the Bon Temps Restaurant in Soho. Una Drake claimed that she dined at the Bon Temps on Tuesday night. To check this alibi, Tommy and Tuppence went to the Bon Temps and asked Henri. Henri recognised Una Drake from her photo. She was apparently a regular at the restaurant and Henri made it a point to serve her himself. He thought it was likely that she dined at the restaurant on Tuesday but he could not be very sure. Henri was portrayed by Ellis Dale.
Henri does not occur in the original story. There, Tommy and Tuppence had to interview all the waiters, a costly process as he had to tip each of them. The results, like in the adaptation, was not satisfactory as it ruled nothing out and ruled nothing in.
