Harlequin's Song is a poem written by Agatha Christie. In the foreword to The Mysterious Mr. Quin, Agatha Christie writes that she thinks Harlequin's Song is her first appearance in print. It was published in the Poetry Review and she was payed a guinea for the poem.
The inspiration for the poem was a set of Dresden figures portraying characters from the commedia dell'arte, that her mother had on her mantelpiece.
The poem was later gathered and published in The Road of Dreams (1925) and Poems (1973).
