In the short story The Erymanthian Boar, Gustave is a very efficient employee at the hotel at Rochers Neiges. At breakfast he informs Poirot that he is Inspector Drouet in disguise, on the hunt for Marrascaud.
Later it turns out that it's actually Marrascaud, and not Drouet, who is posing as Gustave.
