In the novel Evil Under the Sun, Gull Cove is one of the secluded beaches on the east side of Smugglers' Island. On the day of the murder of Arlena Marshall, Christine Redfern asked Linda Marshall to join her there. Mrs Redfern made som sketches and Linda swam in the ocean.
