In the novel Death in the Clouds, George Leman was the husband of Madame Giselle. They married in Quebec in 1910. He deserted her soon after the marriage, and she resumed her maiden name. Their child, Anne Morisot, was received at the Institut de Marie in Quebec. George was killed in the early days of the war.
