In the novel The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, George Evans was one of the six patients of Dr Sheppard on September 19. He had come to see Sheppard about an ulcer.
Mr Evans never appears in the novel but was among the names rattled off by Caroline Sheppard from memory when Poirot asked which patients come on that day.
