In the novella Dead Man's Mirror, Forbes, Ogilvie & Spence is the law firm which has handled the legal affairs of the the Chevenix-Gore family for over a hundred years. At the time of the events in the story, Oswald Forbes is one of the firm's partners. He managed the will of Gervase Chevenix-Gore. After the death of his client (also a personal friend), he briefed the investigators about the terms of the will and also revealed that he had wanted to make a new will but that was never signed.
