In the novel The Pale Horse, Fielding is mentioned in a discussion between Mark Easterbrook, Hermia Redcliffe and David Ardingley early in the book. Fielding is an actor who is currently playing the title role in the Batterson production of Macbeth, at the Old Vic. He had also previousely played a character called "Third Murderer".
