Agatha Christie Wiki

In the short story The Mystery of the Blue Jar, Felise Marchaud lives with her father, a French professor at Heather Cottage near a golf course at Stourton Heath. While playing on the golf course, Jack Hartington keeps hearing a woman's voice calling "Murder--Help! Murder!" coming from the direction of Felise's cottage at about the same time every morning. However, on each occasion, Felise did not hear anything.

Resolving this mystery would form the main plot of the sotry.

Felise is described as having eyes like pansies, velvety, soft and dark, more violet than blue.
