In the novel Nemesis, Farmer Plummer is a farmer and most likely a local resident of Jocelyn St. Mary. Mrs Merrypit used Plummer's daughter as a "village parallel" of Anthea Bradbury-Scott. According to Mrs Merrypit, when Verity Hunt died, Anthea's sister Clotilde Bradbury-Scott was highly upset. On the other hand, Anthea strangely had a kind of pleased look about her. Farmer Plummer's daughter used to look just like that. She behaved strangely. She always used to go to see pigs being slaughtered and actually enjoyed it.
