Esmée was played by Natalie Ogle in the film adaptation of The Million Dollar Bond Robbery in Series 3 of ITV's Agatha Christie's Poirot. Her name was changed to Esmee Dalgleish and she was the secretary to Mr Vavasour, the joint general manager of the London and Scottish Bank. In the adaptation, it was the bank which called in Poirot to look into the case but Esmée approached Poirot separately to tell him that she was worried about her fiance Philip Ridgeway. Although she did not give the details of her fears to Poirot, she suspected that Philip had a compulsive gambling habit and was in heavy debt. Later in the episode, she stole Mr Vavasour's copy of the portmanteau key in order to deflect suspicion away from Philip. For this, she was rebuked by Poirot.
