In Meurtre au Champagne, the Les Petits Meurtres d'Agatha Christie adaptation of Sparkling Cyanide, Elvire Morenkova is the parallel of Rosemary Barton in the orignal novel. In this adaptation she is a famous film star who is shooting a new film. All the other main characters from the original novel are connected with the film in some way. Her husband Georges Leroy is a financial backer and so probably has position of executive producer. Claude Kerrigan (Sandra Farraday) is the script writer and Daniel Hartman (Stephen Farraday) is the director.

As in the original, Elvire is generally thought to have good looks but no brains. She has affairs with various people, including Jules Lavigne (Anthony Browne) and Daniel Hartman. She dies the same way during a dinner and like in the original this is at first thought to be a suicide. Among the evidence used to support this is a love letter which, as the original, she calls her lover "leopard", only in this adaptation she calls herself his "gazelle".

Elvire Morenkova appears to be a stage name. Victor Lebrun (Victor Drake), her cousin, calls Hélène Lebrun and suggests that she has a background that she would rather not be made known. He uses this to extract money from her.

Elvire Morenkova is portrayed by Élodie Navarre
