In the novel Evil Under the Sun, Edward Corrigan was the husband of murder victim Alice Corrigan. The couple had decided to meet at Pine Ridge Café, but Alice never turned up. He had an alibi for the time of her murder, but later circumstance made that alibi not so watertight.
Edward later turned up under another name.
In adaptations[]
- In the 1982 adaptation the character is renamed Felix Ruber. The name, with the spelling changed to filix ruber, means red fern.
Agatha Christie's Poirot[]
In the Agatha Christie's Poirot episode adapted from the novel, the character is renamed Edward Deverill.
