In the stage play The Unexpected Guest, Edmundson is a police officer in Norwich. When investigating the murder of Richard Warwick, Inspector Thomas makes contact by telephone with Edmundson to obtain background information on John MacGregor whose son had been run down and killed two years earlier in a car driven by Warwick.
