In the short story The Kidnapped Prime Minister, Edith was the parlormaid of Mrs Everard at her house in Hampstead. She answered the door when Poirot and a police detective called at the house.
Edith is not featured in the film adaptation of The Kidnapped Prime Minister in Series 2 of ITV's Agatha Christie's Poirot.
