Dr Crossfield

In the novel Postern of Fate, Dr Crossfield is the physician who treats and looks after Tuppence after she has been shot at. He found that the wound was slight, just grazing by a bullet, although it did cause a lot of bleeding. Later Tuppence tells Tommy that Crossfield had been "rather like a sort of broody hen watching over me".
